Topographic and Glacial Influences on Phylogeography of Synthyris rubra  by Marcus Hooker

Manito Environmental Education Center (located behind the greenhouses at the corner W 21 Ave and Bernard St)

Come watch a presentation by one of our student research grant recipients.  Marcus will be traveling up from Pullman where he is a graduate student at WSU to present a portion of his thesis research on the distribution and phylogeny of Synthyris rubra (aka Red Bessya).

After the presentation we will continue to work on logistics of our State Wide Study Weekend this May, and discuss strategies for developing a native plant stewardship program in cooperation with local agencies and conservation organizations.
